Hair removal
Diode permanent hair removal
Diode permanent hair removal is a pain–free experience for the elimination of unwanted hair. Diode lasers deliver high frequency, low fluence pulses and can be safely used on all skin types.
Diode laser hair removal is the proven method for the safest, fastest, and most effective hair removal for patients of any skin tone/hair colour combination.
However, laser hair removal is not a one–time treatment, The hair growth cycle is: anagen, catagen and telogen. Only the hair during anagen can be removed. The hair during catagen and telogen period will not be removed. So generally speaking, it needs 4 to 6 treatments for permanent and clearly hair removal by diode laser. The interval between every treatment is typically 28 days.
The diode laser wavelength is 808/810nm, which is the golden standard for hair removal. The 808nm diode laser will directly work on the melanin in the hair follicle. Meanwhile, because the absorption of the light, the water and melanin in the epidermis will not absorb the 808nm laser. So, you will not feel pain during the diode hair removal laser treatment.
Diode vs IPL
IPL lasers are ineffective and unsafe to use when treating darker skin types. IPLs are typically only suitable for lighter skin types (1–3 on the Fitzpatrick scale)
