A CO₂ Laser + Cosmelan combination — my own mother
This is my mother, in her early 70s. Her before photos show what decades of sun exposure and natural ageing look like on the skin: sun spots, melasma, uneven pigmentation, fine lines, and deep wrinkles.
Because she had multiple concerns, no single treatment would address them all. We started with Fractional CO₂ Laser to resurface the skin — targeting texture, fine lines, and wrinkles — then followed with Cosmelan to treat the pigmentation and melasma at a deeper level.
Her skin is Fitzpatrick Type IV (an olive to light-brown tone common in Asian skin), which many consider unsuitable for CO₂ laser. It isn't — with the right settings, preparation, and aftercare. My training and clinical experience across the Philippines and Sweden means I've worked extensively with both Asian and European skin, and it shapes every treatment plan I build.

Acne & scarring
Mr J. — treating the acne before the scars
Mr J. came to us in his early 20s with persistent cystic acne. Years of active breakouts had left deep scarring — ice-pick scars, uneven texture, and post-acne pigmentation.
Our first step wasn't scar treatment. It was getting the acne itself under control. There's no point resurfacing skin that's still breaking out — new acne creates new scars, and active inflammation makes laser treatment riskier and less effective.
Working alongside our clinic doctor, Mr J. was prescribed medication to support the in-clinic treatments targeting his active breakouts. Only once his skin had settled did we begin scar restoration: Fractional CO₂ Laser to reach the deeper scars and refine texture, combined with TCA treatments, supported by prescribed aftercare and maintenance products at home.
